Dry farming—also known as waterless agriculture—is a traditional and sustainable production method that relies solely on natural rainfall in areas where irrigation is unavailable, limited, or preferred to conserve soil and water resources.

The aim of this method is to retain every drop of rainwater that falls on the soil as much as possible and to grow plant and grass species that are adapted to these conditions.
